Wish you could fix it...

Bummer when you don't spell something correctly, and the blog posts!  As a teacher it drives me INSANE that I can't fix it!  Just so you know, I do know that gardener is spelled this way...oops!  :)  I am going to blame it on lack of sleep.  I swear I can spell!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Cole would much rather play baseball.  Reading involves sitting still for TOO long!
The helpful little gardner.
SOO difficult to get a family picture!!!
Cole apparently couldn't wait!
I Love that Jamin is the ONLY one looking.  Both boys want the CAKE!

For Jamin's 27th we decided to make a cake, rather than buy our usual ice cream cake.  I found 3 recipes and of course Jamin picks the one with the most steps involved, and he made sure there was not a use for processed items.  (AKA..Betty Crocker mix ,and its oh so yummy frosting!)  I have always used some type of mix and added to it, but this time the term "scratch"  was the complete truth!!!  I say that I am good at following directions, not great, but at least I am honest.  The first time I attempted potato soup I put in 2 1/2 Tablespoons instead of Teaspoons...oops!  I was very careful this time, and the chocolate sour cream cake with chocolate butter frosting and filling was a success.  I saved the recipe, but told Jamin that it was only for VERY special occasions.  Odds are, I won't have an hour to prepare it with two little "helpers" around!  :)  Jamin is VERY special to us, so he was way worth it!  Happy Birthday, and we Love you a lot!!!

Gotta Love The Sun and Long Weekends!

Caden was amused by the Science Center!

"I Think I Am Scared of That."
Fyi :  We just had family pics, that is why the green shirts.  :)
"Cole Do"  chocolate milk.  He had to point out where it said "Chocolate Milk."
Can my kid read? :)
Little Pudge Pockets!  Look at those cheeks!
"Mommy, I look cute!"

I love when the weather is nice!  I feel like you are so much more productive.  Last week we went up to the outlet mall in Marysville, man I love it up there.  The next day we took the boys to the Science Center.  Cole's new thing is  "I think I am scared of that."  He was talking about the dinosaurs the whole day until he saw them.  It was funny!  We also had a chance to take family pictures at Yuen Lui.  It was great getting the boys second round of pics.  Caden is quite my little pudge pocket. He is almost 15 pounds, if not already.  This past Saturday we went to my friend Naj's wedding.  It was great to see friends I haven't seen in a long time, and Naj looked beautiful.  My dad and Katie were quite the troopers, as they baby sat both boys for us.  Thanks again!!!   Sunday, we made the trek out to my Grandpa and Diane's for a delicious dinner and played fun games.  I still manage to loose at  Texas Hold-em every time we play!  Cole had a blast just running the large yard and playing with his golf set, and bubbles.  Tomorrow we are going to attempt to do some gardening.  I did buy the plants, but now getting them into pots is the chore.  Jamin and I have come to the realization that maybe we go to Starbucks a little too often, and proof that our little Cole is ALWAYS listening.  We have caught Cole on numerous occasions going up to the bedpost, like its a drive thru, and saying,"  I would like purple bread, grande mocha 1% with whip, and a tall drip with cream.  How  Many two year olds can recite an order?  We are also in the "Cole Do"  stage.  He wants to do things for himself, and when I found him in his room dressing himself, I had to get the camera.  He thought he looked good.  It is amazing what their little minds can do!

3 Months Already!

Since Mommy never got a clown cone when she was little,
I made sure that Cole got one! Haha GAGA!!
Happy 3 month Birthday Caden!
Cole helping with yard work,
Another Cake...YAY!!

Time is going by so quickly, our little Caden is already 3 months old.  With awesome weather this weekend we were able to do some fun family things together.  I am sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow, but it is only for 11 days!  Jamin got to take his paternity leave later and will be home with the boys for two weeks.  Since I only work 2 days a week we are going to the zoo, the science center, Bainbridge island, and up to the outlet mall in Marysville.  It will be fun beating the crowds on the weekdays!  I am having such a great time with both of my boys, and can hardly wait until summer vacation!  I love that I still get those!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day photo with my boys!
Learning how to play foosball.

At Emerald Downs.
Jamin with Cole and Caden trying not to burn his neck.

I must say that I do love Mother's Day!  My boys were very sweet and thoughtful.  Jamin was a giant help today, and is everyday, but really went out of his way today.  We were busy doing family things this weekend.  Saturday we went to Emerald Downs to meet my Dad and Katie.  Cole got his first look at the world of horse racing, and was right there when it was time to bet on the race.  We thought it was cool that Cole would call out different numbers, and thinking our son had a unknown gift, we bet on them.  Needless to say, we didn't have much luck!  We had a great dinner at my Dad's today.  It is his 50th Birthday and Cole was a little bummed that Grandpa didn't want a bounce shoot party.  Hey Cole, we tried!  It was a great weekend, and I was glad we had a little sunshine too!

Busy Cole!

Cole has been quite the "helper"  lately, and when I say help, it is intended to be, but just more work for mommy later.  I was getting Caden ready in the other room today, and usually Cole is o.k. to watch t.v. in my mom's room, but today he was up to some serious work!  I came out of the doorway of our room with Caden to find many pairs of socks in the hallway.  Being afraid to look in my mom's room, I then saw my beautiful little boy dancing around the room saying, "  Look At All the Clothes!"  All I could do is laugh and ran to get the camera.  He told me, " I Gonna Fold the Clothes Momma."  Ya, he helped fold them alright!  It is the little things they try to do to help that makes you appreciate what being a mom is all about.

Fun Weekend!

We went to the Mariners game as a whole family, and needless to say we sure picked a day.  Friday was beautiful weather and would have been perfect, but we had tickets to Saturday's game.  We got there early, and that is a big deal for us  because it takes us 3 hours to get out of the house on any given day!  We knew the roof would be closed, but it was still warm enough to have the windows down in the car.  We didn't park too far away, but a good mile out!  As we proceeded to the field, Jamin was holding Cole and I had Caden in the front pack, it started to rain.  We looked behind us and saw VERY dark clouds.  It then started to rain harder, and it was then that I wished we parked closer.  We were soaked, but Jamin still had to go to will call and get the tickets.  Caden and I were under cover, which was nice until it started raining extremely hard ,SIDEWAYS!  We did make it in to the game, and had great seats.  I was wetter than I wanted to be, but my boys didn't seem to mind one bit.  Cole loved it once again, and Caden slept the entire time.  It was a great experience, and one we will do again when the sun is out, and the weather is warmer!
