We've Got A Mover!

Caden has been doing the backwards crawl for quite sometime, and has been rocking on his knees ready to move in the forward direction. Last night our Littler Chunk-A-Roo has figured it out, and is a movin' machine! Now we have two active little boys going in opposite directions! Who needs to work out? Hopefully he won't work off too much of his cute chunk. That is what happened with his big brother Cole.

Did The Puyallup!

How Tall Am I?
Merry-Go-Round
Loves To Stick Out The Tongue
Silly Baby!
All Smiles!
Not so sure about riding by himself...
1st Roller Coaster Ride!
Caden's 1st Trip To The Fair!
Matching Jammies

This past Saturday we went to The Puyallup Fair with Julie ,Mark ,and Helen. Cole was old enough to go on rides this year, so I took him on his 1st roller coaster. I thought he'd be scared, and you wouldn't know from his face, but he said he loved it. We tried other rides, but he wasnt so sure to ride by himself, so Daddy took him on his favorite, the merry-go-round. Cole also enjoyed a "sconed," and said it was delicious. It ended up being a really nice day, as it was supposed to rain! Sunday we ran a bunch of errands, and went shopping for a new camera, and think we found one. When we got home from being gone all day we had two sleeping boys in the back seat, and they were holding hands! How sweet is that? They truly are the best! :)

Happy 7 Month Caden!

I think I was more excited!
Coldstone cupcakes...yummy!

Wow, we can't believe it has already been 7 months! Time has gone by so fast. Caden is getting from place to place just fine, and enjoys crawling backwards. He can completely sit up and go to the crawling position. He is the happiest little guy, and him and his Big Brother Cole have a blast together. They are so different, but we Love them both to absolute pieces!!

The Ring Bearer!

They say the only sure things in life are death and taxes, so that leaves relying on your two and a half year-old son to walk down the wedding aisle, while holding the flower girl’s hand, on the one-and-only chance he gets, the antithesis of a sure thing. Yet, to our delight, last Saturday Cole made his flawless debut as a ring bearer at the tender age of 2 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Nicole’s friend from college, Alaina, married a fellow Coug named Barron during a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick’s church in Seattle. In reverence too a beautiful wedding, we had extreme reluctance dealing Cole as a wild card in this game every bride wants executed perfectly, but we inevitably proceeded with what could only be described then as an impending disaster.

It wasn’t until the Thursday rehearsal we actually believed Cole might pull this off because he met Jolene, the 3 year-old flower girl he was to walk with down the aisle and they immediately hit it off, which is such a relief to us since he really hasn’t played with that many kids before. But play they did, taking turns running after each other, along with showing how each could jump off steps. Regardless of this revelation, Nicole’s and my anxiety was surging through the roof (more so Nicole’s as exemplified by her sweaty hands and inability to remain sedentary) prior to him walking, that you would have thought he was up too bat in the bottom of the seventh with a full count at the Little League World Series. Yet unlike us, Cole wasn’t cognizant of the months of planning that culminated in this one day, so to him he just wanted to play toys, walk to momma at the other end of the aisle and play on the toys at Lala’s (Nicole’s aunt) house when he was done. Ignorance sure is bliss and the bumper crop of photographs this day yielded will pay a lifetime of dividends. How often can you get your toddler dressed like George Clooney at the Oscars? Plus now, since it’s cheaper to buy a sized 3T tuxedo than too rent, we have Caden waiting in the wings to usher a satin pillow down the aisle in the future for one of Nicole’s other friends.

Cougar Football & Circus

At the circus with the Frank Family. Cole and Leilani's first date :)
The elephants
Cole and I at the circus pre-show
Wouldn't take a pic by himself...
Caden is ready for Cougar baseball
Cole loves the Cougs!
Couldn't get them both to look..

With Jamin out of town at his WSU baseball alumni weekend, the boys and I managed to stay pretty busy. I geared the boys up for the football game, which wasn't an exciting game, but we still love our COUGS! I took Cole to the circus at the Showare Center in Kent. He loved the animals, and I was shocked that he didn't mind the clowns. He was not big on the fireworks, or the sound of the cannon. He told me he was ready to go after the cannon, and wanted a "hangaber" aka a hamburger. We had a great time! We did almost get washed away outside in the rain, and had to wait for a freight train to pass. We got soaked, but Cole loved jumping in the puddles. Such a boy! :)
